Understanding Placement Statuses
Placement Workspace confirms the students’ CourseKey enrollment status is “Graduated”, THEN categorizes students by their placement status as captured by Nexus:
-
Not Yet Placed - graduates that have not yet been verified as placed in a job. Graduated students default to Not Yet Placed until they move to a different status or, when enabled, exceed the configured goal threshold (and are converted to "Missed Goal"). Data definition:
- ‘Graduated’ (CK Enrollment Status)
-
AND ‘Not Yet Placed’ (Nexus Placement Status)
-
Placed - graduates that have been verified to be placed in a job. Data definition:
- ‘Graduated’ (CK Enrollment Status)
- AND ‘Currently Placed’ (Nexus Placement Status)
-
Unavailable - graduates that are currently ineligible to work (e.g. military status, pregnancy, disability, death). Data definition:
- ‘Graduated’ (CK Enrollment Status)
- AND ‘Not Available’ (Nexus Placement Status)
-
Missed Goal (optional) - when enabled via Placement Settings, graduates that have exceeded the user-specified placement threshold will be marked with “Missed Goal” in Placement Workspace. Data definition:
- ‘Graduated’ (CK Enrollment Status)
- AND days since graduation > ‘Missed Goal’
- AND Nexus Placement Status is NOT ‘Currently Placed’
-
Waiver Signed - graduates that have signed a waiver for their placement. Data definition:
- ‘Graduated’ (CK Enrollment Status)
- AND ‘isWaiver = True’ (Nexus Placement Flag)
