Student-Led Make-Up Hours

Students can now initiate make-up time for missed attendance in courses where this feature is enabled. This allows students to check in and out (CICO) for make-up time outside of scheduled class sessions and for a certain period of time after the end of the course, this is set/determined by your school.

Log Make-Up Time as a Student

1. Open the CourseKey app on your mobile device.
2. Navigate to the Course.

a. If the course is in session, a regular check-in card will be available and make-up hours cannot be logged at this time.
b. If the course is not in session, you will see a a card that reads ‘Make-Up Hours Available.’

3. Select the "Make-Up Time" check-in button, select the date you are making up time for.

6. Your make-up time will be automatically flagged for approval by your instructor.

Note:

If a student forgets to check out of make-up hours, they will be automatically logged out when the scheduled session starts or at the end of the allowed make-up period for the course. If adjustments are needed, students must inform their instructor, who can approve or reject the make-up hours and manually create the correct make-up hours to update the attendance record.

Viewing Your Make-Up Hours
