How To Enable Extended Properties in Campus Nexus

This article walks you through the process of how to add extended properties to each class section in Campus Nexus. Once these properties are added in the global settings, all class sections will have the extended property fields available. However, only class sections with blended ground or blended offsite delivery methods applied will require the synchronous and asynchronous time fields populated at the class section level. These fields can remain blank for all other delivery methods.

Enabling Extended Properties

1. Log in to the Campus Nexus web portal.

Note: You can only enable extended properties through the web portal and not through the Desktop Client application.

2. Click on the Settings tile (three gear icons).

How To Review Enroll Status Hours, Async Time, and Sync Time

Concorde has created and applied a script to ensure the appropriate hour value breakdown for Async/Sync time versus Total Hours is predefined. We do encourage you to ensure these values are filled in and calculate correctly.

5. Please ensure that text fields 1(Async Time), 2 (Sync Time), and 3 (Enroll Status Hours) are filled in.

Note: Text fields 1 and 2 will be in minutes while text Field 3 will be in hours.

6. Remember to click Save.

Administrative Actions in CourseKey

There are not many admin user requirements to be completed in the CourseKey application. However, there you can review what assignments have been updated on/after the locked/publish date

Note:  ALL assignments that count for time must be published in the learning management system (LMS). Once the course starts no content can be removed from the course. This is just an administrative note for instructor oversight.
